Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Global QR Codes. Please read them carefully.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Globe Astral LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Global QR Codes", "we", "us" or "our"), the owner and operator of the Global QR Codes website and services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Agreement to terms

By creating an account, generating a QR code or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them. These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy by reference.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" means the Global QR Codes website, QR code generator, dynamic QR codes, analytics and related features.
  • "Static QR code" means a code whose encoded content is fixed and generated in your browser.
  • "Dynamic QR code" means a code that redirects through our servers and whose destination you can edit after printing.
  • "Account" means the account you register to save codes and access paid features.
  • "Subscription" means a paid plan billed on a recurring basis.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and, if using it on behalf of an organisation, that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

4. Accounts and registration

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Description of the Service

Global QR Codes lets you create customisable static QR codes for free, and offers optional paid features including saved codes, dynamic QR codes with editable destinations, and scan analytics. We may add, change or remove features from time to time to improve the Service.

6. Subscriptions, billing and payments

Certain features are available only under a paid Subscription. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. By purchasing a Subscription you also agree to Stripe's terms.

  • Billing — Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually) according to the plan you select.
  • Auto-renewal — Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
  • Price changes — we may change plan prices. We will give you reasonable advance notice, and changes take effect at your next billing period.
  • Taxes — fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for applicable taxes.
  • Failed payments — if a payment fails, we may retry, suspend paid features or downgrade your account until payment is resolved.

7. Free plan

Creating and downloading static QR codes is free and does not require an account. We may set reasonable limits on free usage, and we may modify or discontinue the free plan at any time. Free features are provided without warranty.

8. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel your Subscription at any time from your account settings or through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create or distribute QR codes for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or malicious purposes, including phishing, malware or scams.
  • Infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.
  • Link to content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful or sexually exploitative.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including via scraping, automated abuse or excessive load.
  • Circumvent usage limits or resell the Service without our permission.

We may investigate violations and may disable QR codes, suspend accounts or remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

10. Your content and QR destinations

You retain ownership of the content you encode and the destinations your dynamic QR codes point to ("Your Content"). You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to use it. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and serve Your Content solely to provide the Service. We are not responsible for third-party destinations reached through a QR code.

11. Retargeting pixels and tracking (dynamic QR codes)

Paid plans let you add your own third-party advertising or analytics pixels (for example Meta, Google, TikTok or LinkedIn) to your dynamic QR codes. If you use this feature, you act as the data controller for the resulting processing, and you agree that:

  • You have all necessary rights to use the pixels and pixel identifiers you configure, and your use complies with each advertising platform’s terms and policies.
  • You will obtain and maintain all consents and provide all notices required by applicable law — including the GDPR, the ePrivacy/PECR rules and US state privacy laws — from people who scan your codes, and you will honour their choices, including opt-outs and Global Privacy Control signals.
  • You will maintain your own privacy disclosures covering this tracking, and you are responsible for how the advertising platforms use the data.
  • When you enable pixels you must confirm the attestation we present, which records that you accept these responsibilities. We store a record of that attestation. We may disable pixels, codes or accounts where we reasonably believe this Section is being breached.

We provide the technical mechanism to load pixels and to collect scanner consent (including a consent screen for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, honouring Global Privacy Control, and excluding bots), but we are not responsible for the pixels you deploy, the identifiers you enter, or the advertising platforms' processing of the data. Our indemnification and liability terms apply to your use of this feature.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Globe Astral LLC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. QR code images you generate are yours to use, including commercially.

13. Trademarks, brand assets and user content

The Service includes an icon library that contains third-party brand logos and trademarks. All such brand names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. They are provided solely to help you identify and reference a brand, and their availability in the Service does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or affiliation between those owners and Globe Astral LLC or you.

  • You are solely responsible for how you use any logo, trademark, image or other material you add to a QR code, including complying with the owner’s brand guidelines and trademark rights.
  • You represent and warrant that you own, or have all necessary rights, licences and permissions to use, any logo or content you incorporate into a QR code.
  • You must not use a brand logo in a way that is misleading, that falsely suggests affiliation or endorsement, or that infringes the rights of the trademark owner.
  • We may remove icons, disable QR codes or suspend accounts where we reasonably believe a trademark or brand asset is being misused.

Your obligations under Section 10 (Your content) and Section 17 (Indemnification) apply to any brand asset or logo you use through the Service.

14. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers such as Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Supabase (database and authentication). Your use of features that depend on these providers may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services and disclaim liability for their acts or omissions.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that QR codes will scan on every device.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Globe Astral LLC and its officers, members and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Globe Astral LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

18. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law) will survive.

19. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Wyoming will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to venue in those courts, except where prohibited by applicable law.

21. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any Data Processing Addendum, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
  • Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver — our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment — you may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure — we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
